Who we are

AI Is Eating America ("we," "us" or "our") runs AIIsEatingAmerica.com and the @AIiseatingAmerica social media accounts. This policy explains what information we collect when you use our website, sign our petition or sign up for updates, and how we use and protect it.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you sign our petition or sign up for updates, we collect your first and last name, email address and ZIP code. If you choose to, you may also give us your mobile phone number.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our site and the services that host it may automatically record basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you visit and the site that referred you. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used in aggregate. Google Analytics sets cookies and receives your IP address, and you can opt out with Google's browser add-on.

Downloads and sharing. Graphics you download from our Share Kit are created in your own browser. We do not receive a copy of them or collect information when you download them.

How we use your information

To add your name to our petition and deliver the petition, including signers' names and ZIP codes, to the public officials it is addressed to.

To send you updates about our campaign, including news, calls to action and opportunities to get involved, if you sign up.

To understand where our supporters live so we can share relevant local information, such as state-specific actions.

To operate, secure and improve our website, and to comply with the law.

How we share your information

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.

We share petition signatures (names and ZIP codes) with the officials the petition is addressed to. Petition deliveries may be made public.

We use trusted service providers to host our website, collect petition signatures and send emails and text messages. They may process your information only on our behalf and under our instructions.

We may disclose information if required by law, to respond to legal process, or to protect the rights, safety and security of our supporters, our organization or others.

Text messages

If you give us your mobile number and check the consent box, you agree to receive recurring text messages from AI Is Eating America. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of signing the petition.

Reply STOP to any message to opt out at any time. Reply HELP for help, or email us at AIiseatingAmerica@protonmail.com.

We will not share your mobile number or text-message consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Email

Every email we send includes a link to unsubscribe. You can also ask us to remove you by emailing AIiseatingAmerica@protonmail.com.

Cookies

Our website does not use advertising cookies. Our hosting, petition and analytics providers, including Google Analytics, may use cookies or similar technologies that are needed for their services to work. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some features, such as the petition form, may not work correctly.

How long we keep information

We keep your information for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy, or as long as the law requires. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

How we protect information

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to stop contacting you, by emailing AIiseatingAmerica@protonmail.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws. We will respond to requests as required by applicable law.

Children

Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Our site links to news sources, government election websites and social media platforms. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices.
